Opening
in 1995, Teppo Yakitori and Sushi Bar was the first of its kind on
Lower Greenville - focusing on the delicacies of sushi and yakitori.
Today, it continues to set the standard for Japanese cuisine in Dallas.
Impeccably fresh meats, seafood and vegetables are presented nightly
in an array of artful presentations that are both a pleasure to the
eye as well as the palate.
Japanese custom calls for sampling yakitori choices as an hors d'
oeuvre before proceeding to the more subtle flavors and textures of
sushi. The Chicken Meatballs are one of Teppo's specialties
and a must try. Grilled and served on skewers, the bite-sized morsels
are then dipped in quail egg and Japanese red pepper or other condiments
that the chef has sprinkled on the plate. Other yakitori selections
include the expected, such as Whole Shrimp and Sirloin with
Garlic, but also look for the unusual . . . like Okra and Bacon,
Beef Tongue, and Lamb. |

The sushi
and sashimi selections include pristine seafood presented on its own,
with rice or in rolls. And in addition to the menu, the nightly blackboard
specials feature seasonal specialties not to be missed.
There's plenty of seating at the bar if you enjoy watching the chefs,
or relax at a table in the dining room or on the patio. |
