Mother's Day

DETAILS

|
| With a Greek father and Italian
mother it seemed only natural for Costa Arabatzis
to open a restaurant featuring cuisines of the Mediterranean. So he did!
Along with wife and partner, Mary Cloutier-Arabatzis,
Costa opened Ziziki's in 1994 - an intimate Mediterranean bistro featuring
Greek and Italian specialties. Located in Travis Walk, just south of Knox
Street, the original Ziziki's is a must stop for sophisticated Dallas diners.
Ziziki's has two additional locations - one in North Dallas as of 1999 and
one in Maui, Hawaii as of January 2001. |
| The name Ziziki's comes from
the name of the Greek sauce made with yogurt and cucumbers that is used
on many of the menu items. This delightful play on words is also portrayed
in the upbeat atmosphere and decor, which is filled with trompe l'oeil murals
and faux finishes. |
Ziziki's
has earned high acclaim from both local and national food critics and has
won the prestigious "Award of Excellence" from the Wine Spectator
for the last five years. So when you dine at Ziziki's, you know there is
always something special!
All three locations feature a beautiful cherry wood bar designed for each
restaurant by California bar designer, Wallace & Hinz, an exhibition
kitchen where the aromas sizzle from the grill and fill the dining room.
The signature yellow wine shelves and white columns that spot light decorative
art are also found at each location emphasizing the owners passion for great
wine. |
